benefits packages.Position Summary:The Senior Piping Designer will
be responsible for applying technical skills on multiple projects,
working with other design disciplines internal and external to
develop engineering solutions for PEC's Clients. The Senior Piping
Designer will ensure that the project deliverables are prepared in
a timely and cost-effective manner in accordance with PEC's and
industries standards. This position utilizes BIM/CAD software to
complete the design work.--Duties and Responsibilities:Assists with
engineering design and coordinates with other design staff for
construction documents and specification productionAssists with
design computationsUse experience, education, and judgement to make
informed decisions. Retains knowledge and builds on previous
experiences to increase capabilities in breadth and
complexityOrganizes multiple projects and tasks and completes them
in a timely manner, on schedule, and per PEC StandardsEffectively
communicates and coordinates with the Design Team to complete
design tasks on numerous projectsReviews project submittals for
compliance with design checklists and drafting standardsAssist in
preparation of construction cost estimates and engineering fee
estimatesAssists with field survey to document existing
conditionsAssists with site observations for interim and final
punch listPrepare material take-offs including pipe, fittings,
valves, as required to support the projectPerform layout rules
specific to piping design including but not limited to distance
between runs, position of welds, supports, valves and
openingDevelop the design and drafting of complex piping drawings
given basic information such as P&IDs, general arrangements,
piping specifications, equipment arrangement drawingsCoordinates
with and take direction from the Project/Piping Engineer and other
design disciplines to resolve issues and coordination of
designDevelop piping models including studies and layoutsCreate
piping transpositions and manual material take-offsReview vendor
and in-house coordination drawings to ensure compliance with
project and standards requirements--Review and check bill of
material reports extracted from the design modelTravel from time to
time, but not on a monthly or regular basis. Travel may be for
training, career fairs, job sites, conferences, meetings, or other
work-related dutiesOther projects and responsibilities may be added
at the company's discretionSpecial Knowledge, skills and
abilities:Able to extract reports from modeling softwareAbility to
work--independently and with othersExcellent oral, written, and
interpersonal communication skillsKnowledge and skill in
determining project requirementsStrong work ethicExperience with
computer aided drafting and modeling using industry accepted
software as described belowExperience with codes and regulations,
interpreting plans, and design of discipline specific project
components as described belowExpert in Discipline Specific Software
ApplicationsProficiency in the application of Discipline Specific
Project ComponentsProficient with division applicable drafting and
modeling software applicationsMust comply with all DISA testing and
be in good standing, comply with all client safety standards and
obtain TWIC credentialsEducation and Experience:High School Diploma
or equivalent requiredTechnical Degree preferredProcess plant
design or skid mount design experience preferredMinimum of six (6)
years of process related experience requiredMinimum of four (4)
years of 3-D modeling experience requiredMinimum of four (4) years
of AutoCAD, CADWorx or Plant 3D experience requiredCertification:A
certificate in CAD software is preferredWork Environment:PEC values

require moving materials that weigh up to 10 pounds on a regular
basis and up to 25 pounds on an occasional basis. Manual dexterity
and coordination are required over 50% of the work period while
operating equipment such as computer keyboard, mouse, calculator
and similar items. At times, bending, reaching, standing, and
