<div class='description'><p>Essential Functions:</p><p>· Under supervisor of maintenance department leadership and senior-level mechanics, diagnose, repair and maintain GFL's Diesel and CNG fleet.</p><p>· Complete basic inspection of brake systems, engine components, emission systems, steering mechanisms, wheel bearings and other important parts to ensure they are in proper operating condition.</p><p>· Test drive trucks to diagnose malfunctions and ensure they are working properly.</p><p>· Perform standard electronic diagnostics and repair electrical equipment and hydraulic systems.</p><p>· Perform DOT and brake inspections on all vehicles.</p><p>· Complete reports, work orders, order parts and perform other administrative duties as required daily.</p><p>· Complete work as scheduled by shop supervision or higher-grade technicians.</p><p>· Ensure safe working conditions and compliance with all safety regulations.</p><p>· Must have a Brake safety certificate and 609 A/C system certification.</p><p>· Active participation in training classes and development opportunities to increase skills and working knowledge.</p><p>· Maintain a clean work area.</p><p></p><p>Education, Training, Experience and Licensing/Certification Requirements:</p><p>· Knowledge of DOT, OSHA and other related state and federal regulations.</p><p>· Ability to communicate effectively across various levels of the organization and communicate with customers and external vendors.</p><p>· Ability to read, analyze, and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating, and maintenance instructions and procedural manuals.</p><p>· Experience using diagnostic software is preferred. Must be computer literate and willing and able to be trained in software systems.</p><p>· Class A or B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) preferred, or the willingness and ability to obtain one within six (6) months of employment.</p><p>· ASE certifications preferred.</p><p>· 3 years of diesel/CNG maintenance experience.</p><p></p><p>Physical/Mental Demands:</p><p>· Ability to stand, sit, walk, use hands and fingers, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, talk, hear, climb, balance.</p><p>· Continuous concentrated mental and visual attention required.</p><p>· Visual requirements include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.</p><p>· Ability to operate trucks and other equipment used as needed.</p><p>· Ability to use a computer and related devices, such as a keyboard or mouse or other related equipment, throughout the workday while seated at a desk or workstation.</p><p>· Ability to climb ladders, bend or stand for long periods of time.</p><p>· Ability to reach above shoulders and lift up to 50 pounds and push/pull up to 100 pounds.</p><p></p><p>GFLTalent</p></div> We thank you for your interest.
