to find a qualified Pediatrics RN in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma,
73104! Job Title: Pediatric Surgical RN Profession: Registered
Nurse Specialty: Pediatrics Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Days Hours
per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 1 year of Level 1 Trauma
experience. License: Current RN License issued by the State Board
of Nursing. Certifications: Current Basic Life Support issued by
the American Heart Association. Must-Have: PALS Certification
(American Heart Association). Description: Under general
supervision, provides nursing care in a hospital to a variety of
patients with health problems ranging from simple to complex.
Assumes responsibility for an assigned group of patients. Documents
patient responses to nursing interventions and prescribed medical
treatments; notes all changes in physician orders for assigned
patients. Assists physicians in the examination of patients and in
performing minor diagnostic procedures and treatments. Obtains and
monitors physiological data of patients, observes the physiological
manifestations of patients, and intervenes when necessary.
Administers medication as prescribed. Initiates, regulates, and
monitors intravenous infusions and blood products. Delivers patient
care competently. Interacts with families and patients in sharing
care plans during the hospital stay and at discharge. Informs
patients and families of hospital procedures. Makes referrals
regarding patient care needs to appropriate personnel. Delegates
tasks to support staff. Performs other duties as assigned. Schedule
Notes: Must be able to float to all pediatric units, including
acute care units such as surgical, behavioral health, medical
specialty, hematology-oncology, step-down units, and cardiac
pediatrics. Experience with tracheostomies and high-flow oxygen is
required. Familiarity with infusion and first-line skills is
necessary. May be floated to neonatal units only to care for
