Location : Lawton OK 73505 Project Duration : 13 weeks Pay range :
$36-$39 an hour Shift : Day 7p-7a Job description: The Psychiatric
Registered Nurse provides specialized nursing care to patients with
mental health and behavioral disorders. The RN is responsible for
assessing patient needs, developing care plans, administering
medications, and supporting patients through therapeutic
interventions in a safe and structured environment. Key
Responsibilities: · Conduct comprehensive mental health and risk
assessments (e.g., suicide, self-harm, violence) · Develop and
implement individualized care plans for psychiatric patients ·
Administer and monitor psychiatric medications, observing for side
effects and effectiveness · Provide therapeutic communication and
crisis intervention · Monitor patient behavior and maintain a safe,
secure environment · Collaborate with psychiatrists, psychologists,
social workers, and interdisciplinary teams · Educate patients and
families on mental health conditions, medications, and coping
strategies · Document patient progress, treatment plans, and
incidents accurately · Participate in de-escalation and
restraint/seclusion protocols as needed (per policy) Required
Qualifications: · Active Registered Nurse (RN) license · Associate
Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) ·
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification · Minimum 1 year of
