Must-Have: - BLS - NRP - Fetal Heart Monitoring Description: Unit
specifics include requirements for BLS, NRP, and Fetal Heart
Monitoring. The facility can cancel one shift every other week.
Candidates should be available to start no later than 02/09/2026 or
02/16/2026 at the latest. An OB nurse is needed with experience in
15-17 births per month. The nurse will work in Labor & Delivery as
well as in Mother-Baby, Newborn Nursery, and Couplet Care.
Responsibilities will also include care for Gynecology surgery
patients. Nurses may float to Med/Surg if there are no patients. If
floating to Med/Surg, nurses will support with vitals and passing
medications if they are not comfortable taking patients on that
floor. BLS, NRP, and Fetal Monitoring are required for this
position. RNs will likely work alongside an LPN during shifts. The
RN will handle all responsibilities within their scope for laboring
patients, triages, and mother-baby care. LPN duties do not include
laboring or triaging patients, nor can they perform initial
assessments. LPNs can support RNs with EFM evaluations, turning
patients, acting as baby nurses, asking questions, and assisting
with documentation. Initial assessments for newborns must be
validated by the RN. If additional help is needed, staff can
request assistance from a Transfer Coordinator. In emergencies, the
LPN typically accompanies the patient to the OR to receive the
baby, allowing the RN to remain on the unit for triage needs. As a
small unit, creativity is often necessary, but there is excellent
