BLS (AHA) Must-Have: De-Escalation training preferred Description:
Responsible for input given into the formulation of the patient
care plan. Responsible for attending weekly clinical staffing and
review of patient treatment plan. Directly responsible for
medication education with all patients and families. Assures
patient emotional and mental observations are reported to medical
and clinical staff and documented accurately and precisely in the
patient chart. Provides teaching and educational groups as
scheduled. Trains LPNs and MHTs in charting, vital signs, patient
routines, proper vital signs, and de-escalation techniques. Is an
active part of a PI team or other task force of the unit. Accepts
lecture, educational, or marketing assignments as made by the
Manager. Maintains Therapeutic Options certification up to date.
Serves as a positive role model for patients and employees through
language, dress, hygiene, and behavior. Requirements Required for
