Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Med Surg - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 03/23/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, rotating - Employment Type: Travel Opportunity: RN - FS Job Details: • Work in a 3rd floor Inpatient Overflow unit that is a mixed Medical-Surgical/Step-Down unit • Step-Down experience preferred due to mixed unit nature • Charge experience preferred • Provide nursing care to patients with health problems ranging from simple to complex • Assume responsibility for an assigned group of patients • Document patient responses to nursing interventions and prescribed medical treatments • Assist physicians in patient examinations and minor diagnostic procedures • Obtain and monitor physiological data of patients and intervene when necessary • Administer medications as prescribed and manage IV infusions and blood products • Interact with families and patients regarding care plans and discharge planning • Delegate tasks to support staff as needed • 1 year of nursing experience required • Associate's Degree in Nursing from accredited program required • Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred • Current Oklahoma RN License or multistate compact RN License required • Current Basic Life Support certification from American Heart Association required • Strong verbal and written communication skills needed • Computer skills required Facility: This major academic medical center serves as a leading healthcare institution providing comprehensive medical services and advanced patient care.
