As a Med Surg RN, you will be integral to our patient care, working within a team that is at the heart of our community-focused medical services. This role demands a skilled professional capable of both independent decision-making and close collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to deliver optimal patient outcomes. Provide direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures, and protocols of SSM Health. Monitor patient condition and assess their needs to provide the best possible care and advice. Observe and interpret patient’s symptoms and communicate them to physicians. Collaborate with physicians and nurses to devise individualized care plans for patients. Administer medications, provide treatments, and monitor and report symptoms or changes in patient conditions. Maintain a holistic approach to patient care by providing emotional, psychological, and spiritual support to patients and families. Ensure that patient care is in accordance with ethical and legal compliance standards at all times. Strong clinical skills in a hospital setting In-depth knowledge of health and safety guidelines and procedures (sanitation, decontamination, etc.) Excellent team working skills Outstanding organizational and multi-tasking skills Compassionate with good communication skills Excellent problem-solving skills Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice Basic Life Support (BLS) certified Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred
