As an ICU RN at SSM Health, you will be a critical member of our healthcare team dedicated to administering top-notch care to patients in intensive care units. Provide comprehensive and intensive nursing care to critically ill patients. Monitor vital signs and quickly detect changes in health conditions. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians. Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to formulate care plans. Educate patients and their families on disease processes, treatments, and health improvement strategies. Maintain accurate patient records and reports to ensure continuity of care. Adhere to hospital policy and procedures to ensure patient safety and compliance to standards of care. Proficiency in using medical software and patient management systems. Strong ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication skills for interacting with patients, families, and team members. Critical thinking and problem-solving skills, especially in emergency situations. Skill in performing standard clinical procedures required in intensive care (e.g., insertion of IVs, wound care management). Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in state of practice. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred.
