in healthcare. About the Role: The Registered Nurse (RN) for the 3N
Medical-Surgical provides direct and indirect patient care through
the nursing process, including assessment, planning,
implementation, and evaluation of care. The RN collaborates with
patients, families, physicians, and interdisciplinary teams to
deliver safe, compassionate, and evidence-based care in accordance
with MRHC policies and the Nurse Practice Act of the State of
Oklahoma. Minimum Qualifications: Current and valid Registered
Nurse (RN) license in the state of Oklahoma. Graduation from an
accredited nursing program. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Strong knowledge of nursing principles, patient care standards, and
medical terminology. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with
electronic health record (EHR) systems and clinical documentation
software. Familiarity with quality improvement methodologies and
patient safety initiatives. Excellent communication and
interpersonal skills demonstrated in a multidisciplinary team
environment. Responsibilities: Perform thorough patient assessments
and document findings accurately in the medical record. Administer
medications and treatments as prescribed, monitoring for adverse
reactions and effectiveness. Coordinate with healthcare team
members to develop, implement, and update individualized patient
care plans. Provide patient and family education regarding
diagnoses, treatment plans, and discharge instructions. Monitor
patient vital signs and clinical status, promptly reporting any
changes or concerns to the appropriate medical staff. Maintain
compliance with hospital policies, safety protocols, and regulatory
requirements. Assist with procedures and support patients during
diagnostic tests and surgeries as needed. Participate in quality
improvement initiatives and continuing education to enhance nursing
practice. Skills: The RN utilizes clinical assessment skills daily
to evaluate patient conditions and identify changes requiring
intervention. Strong communication skills are essential for
effectively educating patients and collaborating with healthcare
team members to ensure coordinated care. Proficiency with
electronic health records enables accurate documentation and
efficient information sharing. Critical thinking and
problem-solving skills support timely decision-making in dynamic
clinical situations. Additionally, organizational skills help
manage multiple patients and tasks simultaneously while maintaining
high standards of care and safety.
