Key responsibilities include: - Promoting Elara Caring’s philosophy, mission, and administrative policies to support quality patient care - Providing direct physical therapy services in accordance with accepted standards of practice and physician certification - Following the established Plan of Care developed by the supervising Physical Therapist and promptly reporting any changes in patient condition - Adhering to all state practice act guidelines and regulatory requirements - Verifying the Plan of Care prior to each visit and delivering care according to physician orders, assessment data, and established standards - Incorporating patient-specific goals from the Plan of Care into daily therapy interventions - Educating patients and caregivers on the safe and effective use of prosthetic, orthotic, and assistive devices such as canes, walkers, and wheelchairs - Instructing patients and caregivers on home exercise and therapy programs to support continued progress - Maintaining accurate, timely, and thorough documentation of patient care Work Environment & Physical Requirements - Physically demanding, high-paced clinical environment - Full range of body motion required, including lifting, transferring, and assisting patients - Potential to work irregular hours or on-call schedules as needed - Ability to sit, stand, bend, lift, and move intermittently - Must be able to lift 50–100 lbs Qualifications & Requirements - Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program approved by the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) - Current, unrestricted Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) license in the state of practice - Six (6) months or more of experience as a Physical Therapist Assistant preferred - Willingness and ability to travel within the assigned branch or coverage area (up to 50% travel) - Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and current auto insurance in accordance with state laws Reporting Structure This position reports to the Branch Director, Clinical Manager, Clinical Supervisor, or designee.
