Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: CVPICU - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 02/23/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel Job Description American Traveler is seeking an RN with at least one year of pediatric CVICU experience for a night shift position in a pediatric cardiovascular ICU. Responsibilities - Work in a pediatric cardiovascular intensive care unit (CVICU) within a hospital setting - Patient population includes critically ill pediatric cardiac patients with complex health needs - Night shift schedule with 12-hour shifts, three days per week - Floating may be required - Level 1 trauma experience required - Assume responsibility for a designated group of patients and provide specialized cardiovascular intensive care - Assist physicians with examinations, treatments, and minor diagnostic procedures - Administer medications, IV fluids, and blood products as prescribed - Document nursing interventions and patient responses, noting all changes in physician orders - Engage patients’ families in ongoing care plans and discharge processes - No local candidates accepted due to a 50-mile radius rule - Must maintain a professional working relationship with interdisciplinary team members Requirements - Active OK RN or compact state RN license - Minimum one year of pediatric CVICU nursing experience - Associate's degree in Nursing from an accredited program required - Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications from AHA - Excellent organizational, planning, and communication skills - Ability to perform nursing procedures and interventions appropriate for a CVICU setting Benefits - High Pay and Bonuses - Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options - 401(k) Plan - Weekly Payroll Deposit - Free Online CEUs - Generous Housing Allowance - Travel and Licensure Reimbursements - Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy - Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-668343.
