Registered Nurse (RN) | Neuro Location: Oklahoma City, OK Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $3,140 per week Shift Information: Nights - 4 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: ASAP About the Position TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Neuro RN in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, 73104! Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Neurology Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Nights Hours per Shift: 48.00 Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience preferred License: Current RN License Certifications: Current Basic Life Support issued by the American Heart Association Must-Have: Stroke experience and NIHSS certification preferred Ability to organize, plan, coordinate, and evaluate nursing services Description: Under general supervision, provides nursing care in a hospital to a variety of patients with health problems ranging from simple to complex. Assumes responsibility for an assigned group of patients. Documents patient responses to nursing interventions and prescribed medical treatments. Notes all changes in physician orders for assigned patients. Assists physicians in the examination of patients and in performing minor diagnostic procedures and treatments. Obtains and monitors physiological data of patients. Observes physiological manifestations of patients and intervenes when necessary. Administers medications as prescribed. Initiates, regulates, and monitors intravenous infusions and blood products. Delivers patient care competently. Interacts with patients and families in sharing care plans while in the hospital and at the time of discharge. Informs patients and families of hospital procedures. Makes referrals regarding patient care needs to appropriate personnel. Delegates tasks to support staff. Performs other duties as assigned. This unit cares for stroke, neurology, orthopedic, and spine patients. The facility is a comprehensive stroke center.
