Title: Telemetry Cardiac Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty:
Telemetry Cardiac, Step Down Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours
per Shift: 12 Experience: 2 years License: Valid Nursing License
Certifications: BLS, ACLS Must-Have: - Minimum of 2 years of
step-down unit experience - Flexibility to float to Med/Surg or ER
to take CVCU/Med Surg holds - No block scheduling Description: This
unit cares for patients with STEMI/NSTEMI, chest pain rule out, and
congestive heart failure. Noninvasive ventilation is utilized for
certain patients. Patient population includes those recovering from
cardiothoracic surgery after ICU stay. Management of antiarrhythmic
IV medications and peripheral vascular compromise is required. The
unit is a 33-bed stepdown unit with a cardiovascular specialty
focus. The nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:4. Candidates must have at
least two years of step-down unit experience. Flexibility is
required for floating to other units. Applicants with any
