Interventional Radiology Location: Oklahoma City, OK Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $3,146 per week Shift Information: Days - 4 days x 10 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: ASAP About the Position Job Title: Interventional Technologist I Profession: Interventional Technologist Specialty: FS Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Days Hours per Shift: 10 hours Experience: Entry-level position with required competencies in cardiovascular and/or radiologic technology. License: Required license in relevant specialty. Certifications: One of the following certifications is required: - ARDMS - Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) - ARDMS - Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) - ARRT - Vascular Interventional Radiography - ARRT - Cardiac Interventional Radiography - ARRT - Radiography - CCI - Registered Congenital Cardiac Sonographer (RCCS) - CCI - Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) - CCI - Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) - CCI - Registered Vascular Specialist (RVS) - BLS Must-Have: - Associate's degree or higher. - Core knowledge and understanding of normal and abnormal anatomy and physiology. - Ability to work and communicate with staff, patients, and their families in a professional and compassionate manner. - Ability to multi-task and remain calm in stressful situations. Description: This entry-level position works under immediate to general supervision and direction of a mentor/preceptor. The role aims to achieve the initial competencies required to deliver specialized cardiovascular and/or radiologic technology services to adult and/or pediatric patient populations. The purpose of this position is to aid medical staff in the diagnosis, care, treatment, and surveillance of simple to complex conditions, defects, and/or diseases. Responsibilities include providing safe, high-quality, efficient, and cost-effective patient-centric care and support services. This role encompasses various care settings such as acute inpatient facilities, outpatient physician practices, diagnostic/urgent care centers, and remote clinics. The technologist prepares patients for procedures and correlates clinical history with procedures ordered by physicians. Effective communication and collaboration with patients, families, and the multidisciplinary care team are essential to implement necessary actions for clinical outcomes. Utilizing specialized cardiovascular and/or radiologic equipment and techniques, the technologist performs a diverse range of diagnostic, interventional, or surgical procedures. Post-procedure reviews are conducted to confirm all required elements are completed and documented. The technologist transfers images and data to archival systems, enters technical data/findings, and prepares studies for physician reporting. Operator-level quality control checks and user maintenance tasks are performed per regulatory guidelines. Participation in continuing education and professional development activities is expected to maintain competencies and promote continuous improvement in care and treatments.
