License: Current license from the relevant Board of Medical
Licensure and Supervision as a Physical Therapist Certifications:
Current Basic Life Support issued by the American Heart Association

Description: Under minimal direction, perform various therapeutic
physical therapy treatments according to the direction of a
physician. Interpret physician orders, evaluate patients, and
formulate treatment plans to reach long-term and short-term goals.
Interpret the patient's response to treatment and modify the plan
to fit the current needs of the patient. Be involved in the
discharge planning of patients; write and instruct patients in a
home program. Document treatment results and the patient's response
to treatment in medical records. Depending on the amount of
clinical experience, supervise and assist students during their
clinical rotations. Maintain and clean equipment used by the
department. Perform other duties as assigned. Knowledge of the
principles, methods, practices, techniques, equipment, and
procedures used in physical therapy is required. Knowledge of
anatomy and physiology sufficient to evaluate and treat patients is
necessary. Knowledge of equipment and the ability to adjust
equipment to suit the patient's needs is essential. Ability to
maintain effective working relationships with staff and excellent
communication skills in guiding patients to assume responsibility
for their treatment and development is important. Knowledge of
computers is required. Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy is
