Job Title: RN Labor and Delivery Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Labor and Delivery Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 06:30 PM - 07:00 AM Hours per Shift: 36 Experience: Minimum 1 year License: Registered Nurse License Certifications: BLS, NRP Must-Have: Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, ability to work with minimal supervision Description: Provides direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures, and protocols of the healthcare organization. Implements and monitors patient care plans. Monitors, records, and communicates patient conditions as appropriate. Serves as a primary coordinator for well-coordinated patient care. Notes and carries out physician and nursing orders. Assesses and coordinates patients' discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team. Requires critical thinking skills and the ability to work in a stressful environment. Follows Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required. Labor and Delivery nurses provide critical care to expectant mothers and newborns before, during, and immediately after childbirth.
