Details - Department: MRI Float Pool - Salary: Up to additional $8/hr incentive based on number of sites supported. - Schedule: Full Time - Day and Evening Shifts available. - Hospital: Ascension St. John Medical Center and community hospitals - Location: Tulsa, Broken Arrow, Owasso, Sapulpa, and Bartlesville. Responsibilities Operate a scanner to obtain images used to diagnose and treat of pathologies. - Prepare and position patients and selects anatomic and technical parameters accurately to produce cross-sectional images of the body. - Perform patient pre-screening, scheduling, and education related to the examination. - Enter and monitor patient data, transfers images from disk to magnetic media to produce the transparency, and develops film in an automatic processor. - Follow radiation safety procedures and guidelines. - Ensurs prompt submission of high-quality of all images and documents sent to PACS (image quality, correct lead markers and patient data/history). - Ensure equipment is properly functioning. Report potential problems or equipment malfunction to appropriate personnel. - Assist in maintaining a clean, and orderly department to include procedure rooms, storage areas, dressing rooms, film storage area and any other areas in department. Requirements Licensure / Certification / Registration: Required Credential(s): - BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted. - One or more of the following: - Nuclear Medical Tech credentialed from the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. - Radiologic Technologist specializing in Magnetic Resonance Imaging credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. - Radiologic Technologist specializing in Radiography credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. Sonography specialty also accepted. - Medical Sonographer credentialed from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. - Sonography Tech specializing in Vascular Sonography credentialed from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. - Technologist specializing in Magnetic Resonance Imaging credentialed from the American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists (ARMRIT) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. Education: - High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
