The Position Job Title: Registered Nurse I Profession: Registered
Nurse Specialty: Intensive Care Unit Duration: Direct Hire Shift:
Nights Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of one year in
a high acuity/critical environment License: Valid multi-state or
State of Oklahoma Registered Nurse License Certifications: Basic
Life Support (BLS) Must-Have: - Working knowledge of general
disease state management processes, bio-psychosocial model, and
clinical pathways - Effective interpersonal, written, and oral
communication skills - Ability to organize and prioritize work
effectively and efficiently - Attention to detail in the
examination of clinical and numerical data Description: The
Registered Nurse I assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates
nursing care. Utilizes the nursing process in accordance with
hospital standards and unit policies and procedures. Monitors and
evaluates patient functional status. Utilizes the nursing process
to care for patients. Assesses, organizes, and completes patient
care considering patient age, cultural, and psychosocial factors.
Documents steps of the nursing process accurately. Utilizes proper
medical terminology. Addresses problems and progress toward goals.
Facilitates patient discharge through timely and appropriate
referrals and utilization of patient education resources.
Collaborates with other disciplines as appropriate. Supports unit
and hospital goals through quality improvement and educational
activities. Attends in-services and completes variance reports.
Exercises independent judgment in planning the sequence of
operations and making minor decisions in a complex technical or
professional field. Works directly with patients and/or customers.
Interacts with internal customers via telephone or face-to-face
interaction. Collaborates with other healthcare professionals and
