Job Description:
Job Title: Radiographer II Profession: Radiographer Specialty: -
Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Days Hours per Shift: 7:30 am - 5:00 pm,
Monday - Friday Experience: Level 1 experience is a plus License:
Required certifications in the radiologic technology specialty
Certifications: AHA BLS required Must-Have: Must be a mammography
tech Description: Under general supervision, performs advanced
level professional work in exposing and processing radiographic
images and fluoroscopy examinations. Circulates to other diagnostic
radiology areas as assigned by the supervisor. Recognized as an
expert in the field, or participates in a training program to
enhance knowledge and skills in other specialized radiology areas
or modalities. Operates standard and portable radiology equipment
to perform radiographic examinations and fluoroscopy studies.
Assists physicians and performs specialized imaging procedures.
Troubleshoots and resolves problems regarding equipment and/or film
output. Acts as a resource and preceptor for other Radiographers
and/or students. May participate in training programs to enhance
radiology skills and become proficient in producing images of a
patient’s body in specialized imaging modalities. Maintains
records, inventory, and equipment for area of primary
responsibility. Performs other duties as assigned. Required Skills
& Experience: Knowledge of the techniques of diagnostic
radiography. Knowledge of the operation and maintenance of
radiographic equipment. Ability to prioritize assignments. Ability
to assess, treat, and care for patients of varying ages. Good
interpersonal skills. Ability to communicate technical information
in a way that patients can understand the procedure and what is
expected of them. Computer skills. Preferred Skills & Experience:
One year full-time experience as a certified or registered
radiologic technology professional in the specialty required.
Required Education: Graduate of an accredited educational program
with emphasis in a primary radiologic technology specialty.
Preferred Education: Associate's degree or higher.
