Summary:Oversees the daily operations of the centralized team of
Pre-Arrival corporate functions. Pre-Arrival services include,
scheduling, infusion financial coordination, clinic financial
coordination, insurance verification, and pre-certification.
Assigns and alters duties and functions as the workload and staff
schedule demands. Monitors employee productivity, performs routine
tasks as well as offers backup to all positions in the department
at any location. The Manager acts as a resource to all team members
and serves as a role model for outstanding customer service and
communication.Essential Functions:Lead the teams in compliance of
OAC policies and standard operating procedures.Ensure department is
meeting the needs of patients, workflow is optimized and patient
volume is managed by moving staff to meet demand or stepping into
assist when and where needed for as long as needed.Promote a
professional image by adhering to the established dress code and
ensuring team complianceResponsible for the overall supervision and
leadership of the department to provide timely, quality, and
professional service.Responsible for performing and reporting
quality assurance review results on an agreed upon timeframe to
Administration.Provide assistance to patients when they present to
the facility in person with questions regarding their scheduled
services.Provide assistance when a detailed billing review is
needed to ensure future services will be authorized.Act as a
preceptor and mentor when assigned for training new staff members,
as requested. Consistently demonstrate premier customer service and
communication skills (as a role model for all team members) with
all internal and external customers/contacts and ensure patients
have the best encounter possible.Anticipate and adapt to change
(e.g., operational/procedures, insurance changes) in a positive
manner.Responsible for neatness of work area to include stocking
and cleaning.Be productive when faced with any "down time" during
work hours.Foster and reinforce team based results to help set the
standard for the team with excellent patient care and customer
service.Keep administration apprised of any issues within the
department.Propose revisions to work flow and staffing as required
or requested.Be available to teams to offer assistance,
information, and directions.Maintain open and positive lines of
communication including encouraging cross-team communication and
functionality.Manage, delegate responsibility, and work on multiple
projects simultaneously.Consistently report to work on time, begin
work promptly, and perform duties for entire scheduled
shift.Demonstrate sensible and efficient use of equipment and
supplies by limiting waste, spoilage, or damage.Understand and
adhere to HIPAA laws and regulations and lead the team in complete
compliance and patient confidentiality.Able to perform all
essential pre-arrival job functions including but not limited
to:SchedulingPre-Registration functionsPOS CollectionsFinancial
Coordination (Clinic and Infusion)Co-Pay assistanceInsurance
VerificationPre-Certification/AuthorizationAnswering phone calls
and returning voicemails in a timely manner.Checking and resolving
assigned tasks in Electronic Health Record.Performance
Requirements:Knowledge:Knowledge in all financial
coordination/pre-certification job functions.Knowledge of
government and patient assistance programs.Knowledge of Medicare,
Medicaid, and third party vendors.Knowledge of general billing
guidelines.Skills:Skill in customer service and diffusion of highly
intense interactions and situations.Skill in effectively
interacting with patients, visitors, providers, administration and
all staff members.Skill in written and verbal communication.Skill
in computer programs including Microsoft Office suite including
Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word and Microsoft Outlook, and
Allscripts Patient Management and Electronic Health Record.Skill in
exercising a high degree of initiative, judgment, discretion and
decision-making to achieve organizational goals.Abilities:Ability
to assume responsibility and exercise authority over assigned work
functions.Ability to recognize, evaluate, solve problems and
correct errors.Ability to conceptualize work flow, develop plans
and implement appropriate actions.Ability to establish priorities
and coordinate work activities.Ability to type 50 words per
minute.Qualifications:Bachelor degree in healthcare administration,
business, finance, other related field or equivalent
experience.Five or more years of Management experience preferred.5
years of experience with medical insurance, billing, benefits
verification, pre-certification, or a related field.EHR system
experience.Physical Requirements:Ability to work effectively in a
fast-paced environment.Physical ability to sit, perform data entry
and view computer screen for long periods at a time.Occasional
exposure to communicable diseases and biohazards.Daily standing,
walking, bending, and maneuvering.May require lifting up to 50
pounds or more to transfer and/or turn patient with and without
assistive devices.Travel:Minimal travel may be required to
satellite clinics.Scheduled Working Hours:Normal work hours are
8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Thursday and 8:00 a.m. to
1:00 p.m. on Fridays. Hours may vary depending upon the needs of
the position, department, and clinic.Other Duties:Please note this
