AFB Engine Life Management Team supporting the Component Integrated
Product Teams (CIPT’s) responsible for Military Fan and High
Compressor hardware. As the Lead Design Engineer you lead a team of
designers in the support of aftermarket activities onsite at PW’s
new OKC facility outside of Tinker AFB. You will mentor less
experienced engineers, coordinate aftermarket engineering
activities, and interface with other disciplines including
structures, aero, and manufacturing. You will be responsible for
the execution of mechanical design engineering standard work and
communicating formally and informally with CIPT and program
customers. This position is a key role within the CIPT as it
provides a direct engineering link with our domestic and foreign
military customers. What You Will Do: Resolve complex mechanical
engineering problems, ensuring engineering excellence and balanced
system solutions. Lead a multi-disciplinary engineering IPT through
sustainment phases of design activities, achieving IPT, CIPT and
program customer driven requirements for durability, performance,
and safety. Collaborate with Customer Technical Support (CTS) team
to address customer queries, review hardware, update maintenance
manuals, and resolve field event root cause analyses. Work with the
onsite MRO representative of the CIPT supporting engine/hardware
investigations and dispositions. Support Operations and Engineering
Support Teams to address production issues and facilitate timely
engine delivery. Continue to develop an improved personal
understanding of the technologies, engine systems, business
systems, regulations and business needs of the company and
customers. Travel up to 10%. What You Will Learn: Mentoring and
leadership skills being responsible for the quality of work
completed by others, communication skills through presenting to
CIPT and program customers. Fan design and aftermarket integration
competencies and an in depth knowledge of sustainment focused
design work. Qualifications You Must Have B.S. in Mechanical or
Aerospace Engineering with 8 years of related experience OR
Advanced degree with 5 years of experience Experience with
hardware, reading blueprints, or manufacturing methods U.S.
citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to
access information under this program/contract. Qualifications We
Prefer Advanced Degree in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering. The
ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security
clearance Demonstrated leadership skills; direct supervisory
experience . Experience working in the Aerospace Industry
(specifically gas turbine engines), component manufacturing and
associated quality requirements. Excellent communication &
collaboration skills and the ability to function across a wide
range of disciplines and management levels. Possess strong
communication, presentation, leadership, and organizational skills.
A working knowledge of CAD software, Teamcenter, P&W Quality
Systems, and configuration management process. What We Offer

for the design, development, and in service support of all fans
low-pressure and high-pressure compressors for commercial and
military engine models. CSE is responsible for the identification
and maturation of new technologies for these products. Technical
disciplines in CSE include Project Engineering, Mechanical Design,

107,500 USD - 204,500 USD. The salary range provided is a good
faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX
