Waste Connections, a leader in integrated waste services, is seeking a dedicated Diesel PM Tech to join our Technical & Maintenance team. This role is crucial for ensuring the operational efficiency and reliability of our fleet of waste management vehicles. The Diesel PM Tech will be responsible for performing preventative maintenance and minor repairs on various types of diesel engine vehicles, focusing primarily on waste management trucks. This position offers the opportunity to work with a committed team that plays an integral role in our mission to provide comprehensive waste services in a sustainable and responsible manner. Perform routine diesel engine maintenance and diagnose minor problems. Complete oil changes, lubrications, and coolant services on diesel vehicles. Inspect and replace necessary components like filters, hoses, and belts. Maintain records of maintenance services and generate reports on vehicle status. Adhere to all safety policies and procedures during all tasks. Assist with roadside breakdowns and perform emergency repairs if necessary. Work collaboratively with other team members to meet departmental goals. Strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills. Knowledge of diesel engine components and maintenance procedures. Ability to work with diagnostic equipment and tools. Good communication and documentation skills. Capability to perform physically demanding tasks. Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) preferred. ASE Diesel Certification is a plus.
